Hi all,
Sabs, Dills, Kells, Als and me have all trotted off to Bath today to a specialist exotic vet. Apart from the scratching and ulcerated lesions (ouch), Sabs and Dills look healthy and well. I am waiting in car park while they are knocked out and skin biopsies taken so hopefully they can grow what is affecting them and find a drug to fix it. They are even doing a CT scan on Dylan to look at what is happening in the jaw (not just for footballers then).
Kelly is ok (no lumps or bumps and kidneys are ok) but way (weigh) too fat! So sadly the mischief will have to split up so her calories can be gradually reduced, vegetables reintroduced (yay) and Dylan and Sabrina will have different A-B and A-Inflammatory. To be given by mouth, no messing and not in the water. Oh dear....
I asked about putting Baytril on mice's fur and definite no-no as it irritates the skin (any skin), so let me share that with you as we did discuss that.
So just waiting till it's all done, will post what I know later.
Mum to ratties Bosley, Ruby, Emily and Jean, Teddy the hamster and George the gerbil.
Never forgotten - my lovely fancy mice Jill, Kate, Eve, Kris, Sabrina, Dylan, Kelly, Abby, Tiffany, Natalie and Alex and wild mice Harry and Wills and Charlie the gentle-man Rat.

I really hope the vet can provide some answers. I had a biopsy done on one of my mice and unfortunately it didn't prove anything.
MouseLover has a point about certain mice being prone to obesity.
I hear what you say about genetics and agree I have read the same, but I have to try to reduce her intake.
Sabs and Dills have had their first shot of new AB - Synulox, penicillin based. I really hope it works for them.
